About Talanta
The Vision
Talanta Stadium was conceived as Kenya's first FIFA-grade venue capable of hosting major continental finals, a single building designed to anchor Nairobi's bid as East Africa's sport, music and culture capital.
The Site
Built on the historic Jamhuri Park grounds along Ngong Road, the 60-acre campus replaces an under-used showground with a 365-day destination, a stadium bowl, the Wasanii Theatre, the Harambee Plaza, training pitches, hotel sites and a public park.
The Programme
Talanta is built to host AFCON 2027, the African Nations Championship, the Safari Sevens, Harambee Stars qualifiers, KPL finals, world-class concerts, conferences and ceremonies. Capacity flexes from 60,000 (football) to 75,000 (concerts) to 30,000 (theatre mode).
The Partners
Delivered in partnership with the Government of Kenya, the Football Kenya Federation, Sports Kenya, and a consortium of Kenyan and international design firms, contractors and cultural advisors.
