Built for the next generation

Talanta Stadium was designed to UN SDG 11 standards, integrating renewable energy, rainwater capture, and habitat restoration on the Ngong Road corridor. Our pledge: net-zero matchday operations by 2030.

Energy

A 4.2 MW rooftop solar array provides over 60% of stadium electricity. Battery storage smooths matchday peaks and powers community lighting on non-event days.

Water

The pitch is irrigated entirely from harvested rainwater stored in two 4-million-litre underground tanks. Greywater recycling supplies all bathroom flushing.

Waste

Concessions use compostable serveware. Sorting stations and trained "green ambassadors" achieve 90%+ landfill diversion on event days.

Community

The Talanta Greenbelt, a 12,000-tree native woodland buffer, was planted with Nairobi schools and provides habitat for over 40 bird species.
